Standard
$2,500
Solid colors and standard patterns — black & tan, choc & tan, red, brindle. Smooth or longhaired.
Rare Colors & Patterns
~$3,000
Dapple, piebald, cream, and dilutes carry a color premium above the $2,500 base.
Exceptional
$3,000+
Highly rare combinations — dilute dapple, dapple piebald, and others. Priced individually per puppy.
Deposit
$500 applied toward final adoption fee — not an additional charge.
Full AKC / Breeding Rights
+$500 for approved breeding or show homes receiving Full AKC registration.
Financing Surcharge
4% added if financing through PayPal or a similar service is elected.

What's Included
Every River Dachs puppy goes home fully prepared and documented — at every price point, without exception.
Puppies go home no earlier than 8 weeks of age, per Georgia state law and AKC guidelines.

Health Guarantee
Key Terms
Puppy must be seen by a licensed vet within 72 hours of pickup to activate the guarantee. Coverage includes life-threatening congenital defects — heart defects, liver shunts, and severe genetic disorders. Does not cover parasites, viruses, injuries, IVDD, allergies, undescended testicles, or owner negligence. In a covered event, we offer a replacement puppy from a future litter. We do not issue cash refunds on puppy prices.
Color Dilution Alopecia (CDA) is specifically excluded for blue and isabella puppies — no breeder can guarantee a dilute puppy will never develop CDA. We DNA health test all breeding adults including PRA-crd4, PRA5, and other dachshund-relevant markers. Full health test results available on request.
Payment
Accepted Payment Methods
Full remaining balance is due at or before pickup. We do not release puppies until payment is received in full.
Personal checks not accepted for final balances. Financing via PayPal or similar carries a 4% surcharge. We prefer in-person pickup at our Georgia home. Ground transport or flight nanny may be available at additional cost — we do not ship puppies as unaccompanied air cargo.
